• Australian Heritage Festival - Railway Station Tours

Overview

For more than 40 years the National Trust has connected the nation in its celebration of our heritage with the Australian Heritage Festival – the country’s largest festival that celebrates built, natural and cultural heritage.

Maryborough Railway Station is truly magnificent! Why was it built in this small Victorian country town?

Join our one hour guided tour to explore the myths and stories surrounding the origins of the station.

Our tour guide will also highlight the intended purpose of each section of the station, some of the changes over time, and the craftsmanship and engineering of the day. There may also be some ghost stories.

Afterwards experience the grandeur and visit the former First-Class dining room, now a cafe, for morning, lunch or afternoon tea.
