'Ladder to the Stars' Exhibition Dean Bowen

An exhibition not to be missed by internationally renowned artist Dean Bowen at the newly rejuvenated Central Goldfields Art Gallery.

View 35 bronze sculptures and assemblages from 2004 to 2022 highlighting themes of hope, aspiration, humanity and animals.

Aunty Kath Nicholls & Aunty Marilyne Nicholls Exhibition

This exhibition is dedicated to their family line Elders who have been their teachers.

Aunty Kath and Aunty Marilyne are multi clanned First Nationals Women, who have been skilled in teaching from their Elders in fine creative arts (feather crafts and traditional weaving practices).

This amazing exhibition is at the Central Goldfields Art Gallery.

2023 Tiny Towns Arts Trail

Tiny Towns Arts Trail is an annual open studio event occurring over the ANZAC weekend every April.

An artist run initiative, Tiny Towns is open to professional, emerging and amateur artists' living and working in the tiny towns of the Central Goldfields and surrounding shires.

Each year artists open their studios, exhibit their work in local cafes, and inhabit makeshift gallery spaces within their tiny towns to provide visitors with a unique experience and an opportunity to peek into the creative minds and working spaces of local artists.

The trail includes the tiny towns of Adelaide Lead, Avoca, Bealiba, Clunes, Dunolly, Eddington, Laanecoorie, Maryborough, St Arnaud, Talbot, Newstead and Tarnagulla.

This year is the 150th Rheola Charity Carnival held on Easter Monday.

Heritage Tours of the Maryborough Railway Station

Maryborough Railway Station is truly magnificent! Why was it built in this small Victorian country town?

Join our one hour guided tour to explore the myths and stories surrounding the origins of the station.

Our tour guide will also highlight the intended purpose of each section of the station, some of the changes over time, and the craftsmanship and engineering of the day. There may also be some ghost stories.

Afterwards experience the grandeur and visit the former First-Class dining room, now a cafe, for morning or afternoon tea (additional to the tour).
