Light Up Talbot

Come along on Friday 29th November to the annual Light Up Talbot Christmas Festival and join in a friendly festive atmosphere.

There'll be a community BBQ and food vendors.

See the Christmas Lights and effects get turned on, and they'll be on show every night throughout the festive season.

5pm: Welcome to Country, Primary School Choirs, Talbot Primary School, Maryborough Education Centre.

Carisbrook Christmas Market

Head to Carisbrook to celebrate the spirit of Christmas kicking off from 3pm Saturday 7th December at the Maryborough Harness Racing Complex.

There'll be a variety of stalls, food vans, jumping castle, face painting and balloon girl, as well as the Lion's Mini Train.

This is an alcohol-free event.

Community Christmas Party

You don't need to be alone at Christmas.

Once again the Carisbrook Lions Club are inviting you to celebrate Christmas with them and join in the festivities with a free traditional Christmas meal provided.

On Christmas Day Monday 25th December from 11am, at the Maryborough Trotting Complex.

If you have no way of travelling out, the Carisbrook Lions Club have a bus pick up, starting from 10am.

The 162nd Maryborough Highland Gathering holds a long and proud history, with gold-rush origins that date back over 150 years. Formed by Scottish prospectors and businessmen who wanted to organized an event to re-create their traditional New Year Highland celebrations in their adopted land.

This iconic event is Australia's oldest continuous sporting event.
