A Different Flood: Stories of Strength and Recovery

Loddon Shire Council and Goldfields Libraries are proud to announce the launch of A Different Flood, a moving new community book project that captures the voices, stories and reflections of Loddon residents affected by the region’s 2022 floods.

Each story contributes to a shared portrait of resilience, connection and hope across the Loddon region.

Community members are invited to celebrate the launch of A Different Flood, featuring the book’s editor and story catcher, Lucy Mayes, live readings from story contributors, and a word from Loddon Shire Mayor Cr Dan Straub. There will be free copies of the book available and light refreshments.
