Explore hidden beaches and gentle rapids of the Loddon River on the Laanecoorie Canoe Trail.
After launching your canoe or kayak at the boat ramp near the Janevale Monier Bridge on Tarnagulla-Laanecoorie Rd, there are two options on this trail.
By paddling downstream you will pass through the naturally formed mazes caused by the flows of the river, with many secluded beaches to stop off for a picnic and enjoy your surroundings.
If you are in the mood for something more, you can paddle upstream underneath the Janevale Bridge to the Laanecoorie Dam wall. Please read the safety information below and use the boat ramp to launch your craft and avoid damage to the riverbank Enjoy the sounds of the birds, the wind in the trees and the special story this river has to tell.
