Designed as a return trip out of Melbourne, with an overnight stay in an accessible room in Wedderburn, every effort has been made to ensure that this suggested itinerary is suitable for visitors of all abilities.

Day : Northern Loddon Valley

Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and escape to the beautiful Loddon Valley. 

A little over two hours up the Calder Highway you'll catch your first glimpse of the Loddon River, the lifeblood of this leafy region. Today you'll follow the river from the village of Bridgewater on Loddon through stunning countryside to the oasis of the Boort Lakes.

Here you'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety of offerings, from sculpture gardens to delicious local produce. Later, a well deserved rest awaits in the historic gold-rush town of Wedderbun.

Day : Wedderburn & Inglewood

After a well earned rest enjoy breakfast at your hotel before exploring the historic gold-rush town of Wedderburn. The Wedderburn Coach House Museum & Gallery is a great place to capture a glimpse of times gone by thanks to the general store, which appears to have closed its doors a century ago.

After lunch take the short drive to the treasure-trove of Inglewood to discover a fascinating Eucalyptus Oil distillery and historic streets filled with antiques and collectables.
