Lannecoorie Reservoir

The Laanecoorie Reservoir with its sandy beach shaded by native trees is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy this summer. Everyone will love cooling off in the freshwater while those looking to catch a fish may just land themselves a Red Fin or Yellow Belly. Terrick Terrick National Park

The Terrick Terrick National Park is a popular destination for both sightseers and enthusiastic bird watchers. The pinnacle of Mt Terrick Terrick is just a short walk from the picnic ground and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. A feature of the park is Victoria’s largest stand of White Cypress Pine Trees where many native birds can often be sighted including the Hooded Robin, the Eastern Rosella and the Plains Wanderer.

Serpentine Creek Canoe Trail

This all-abilities canoe ramp and trail has been purpose-designed for all ages and it’s quickly become a popular place for recreational canoe adventurers. The launching area is located on Whytcross Road, which you will find off Boort-Pyramid Road.


The five-kilometre Serpentine Creek Canoe Trail features six bright yellow buoys at points of interest along the creek. The trail shares historic and ecological stories, via an annotated map. Marker buoys are situated at the points of interest and can be found via the map, or GPS.
