The Sit and Sew group meets twice a month to sew and chat with others with a shared interest in patchwork and quilting.

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday during the day and evening:

Daytime sessions  10am – 3pm

Evening sessions 6pm – 8.30pm

Enjoy craft beer tastings from Central Victorian brewers on board the steam train. Lunch included.

Depart Castlemaine Railway Station at 12pm and returns 4.30pm. At Maldon Station 1pm-3.30pm.

The Coffee Cruise takes place on the 3rd Sunday of each month. 

Starting at 9.30am with cruising at 10.30am within 25km of Castlemaine for a coffee and brunch.

Motoring enthusiasts are welcome to bring along hot rods, restored cars, street machines, sports cars

Each weekend in Spring starting from 24 October and ending 22 November, plus Monday, Tuesday of Melbourne Cup Mica Grange opens its expansive gardens for a sculpture exhibition merging the wonders of art with the beauty of garden.

30/10/20 - carnival night, street parade, wood chop, novelties wild life exhibits and much more. Side show and pavilion displays fire works display

All the fun of a country show food side shows Saturday 31/10/2020 see the fabulous horse judging, sheep judging shearing display.

Maldon Folk Festival is a family friendly music festival, held every year over the Melbourne Cup weekend.

We also have a free concert on the Thursday night for locals and anyone else who is around.

This popular swap meet is held on the 2nd weekend in November. It attracts sellers from QLD, SA & NSW as well as Victoria.

This event also attracts thousands of eager buyers looking got a wide range of collectable items.
