Artists Diane Thompson, Libby Noblet, Jodie Curtis and Marcela Olea have an exhibition called Platform 4 at the Newstead Arts Hub throughout October
4 women with an ongoing life long project of making art and craft, eventually need a platform to show it.
Marcela Olea and Diane Thompson present skillfully produced sculptural forms in a variety of mediums, including; resin, clay, feathers, textiles and address themes both humorous and esoteric.
Diane’s sculptural works are both large outdoor totemic forms and small studio resin pieces.
Jodie Curtis and Libby Noblet work mainly in the printed form, etchings, collographs and screen prints, on paper and fabric. The textural, soft plant and abstract forms of Jodie’s etching work a contrast to Libby’s hard edged bright, busy screenprinted fabrics.
