SteamPacket operates two unique venues - Steam Packet at The Historic Maldon Railway Station and SteamRoller at the Maldon Vintage Machinery Museum
SteamPacket at the Maldon Railway Station runs two eventaganzas a year.
With the audience seated on the platform, vintage carriages at each end of the platform and behind the stage - which is across two railway tracks - from the ampitheatre. The events are always themed such as Woodstock, Southern Rock, Big n Horny, Blues Brothers and Mad Dogs and Englishmen...and because they can, they run steam engine between the stage and the audience. Some of Australia's top musicians play in the SteamPacket band. SteamRoller @ The Machinery Museum is a small indoor venue for around 100 people and is named after the two steam rollers behind the stage. Some of Australia's best known and respected international touring acts have played SteamRoller. Steam Roller has 8-10 events per year including a New Years Eve Party. The 2020 program is as follows: 21 March will open the inaugural Steam Punk Festival with dress-ups, fashion parades and an incredible band. 29 August, Maldon has stolen Australia Blues Day from Melbourne. Celebrating the birth date of the late Grandfather of Australian Blues, Dutch Tilders, his band The Blues Club, led by almost-local, and favourite son, Geoff Achison, will be the focus of blues fans across the country. 5 December - SteamPacket10 IMAGINE
