Exciting news for lovers of the Goldfields Track! During spring there will be a regular shuttle service from Castlemaine to Daylesford (servicing both walkers and MTB riders).

The shuttle service will operate each Saturday until and including Saturday 9th November 2019.

The bus will depart Castlemaine Train Station at 9:00am and arrive Daylesford Visitor Information Centre at 10:00am.

The Dry Diggings section of the Goldfields Track is epic in terms of challenge, history and terrain. It takes you through Australia’s first National Heritage Park, the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park, which was created in 2002 in recognition of the region’s intimate association with the Victorian gold rush era. From the wet temperate forests on top of the Divide to the dry northern plains, it’s a roller coaster journey for most of the way!

Now is the prime time for exploring the Track so Goldfields Track Inc and Mount Alexander Shire Council are collaborating to deliver this weekend shuttle service between the two towns.

Paula and Andy from Tread Harcourt will be at the wheel and the shuttle service will use their bike trailer which is fitted with Yakima Front loaders to ensure no contact with the bike frame.

Bus can take up to 11 people. To book go to - https://book.bookeasy.com/mount-alexander-box-office/events/95792
