Overview

Welcome to the sixth Bendigo Chamber Music Festival program. 

For the 6th festival, BCMF continues its partnership with the prestigious Young Concert Artists Trust London. It is thrilled to welcome Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux (violin) and Ignas Maknickas (piano) exclusively to Bendigo. Star soprano Alexandra Flood will be flying home to Australia from the Volksoper Vienna for our festival, and we are excited to welcome, for the first time, an incredible group of Australian colleagues, including Brigid Coleridge, Justin Williams, Lloyd Van’t Hoff, Louisa Breen and Peter Luff.

Of course, it wouldn’t be BCMF without the extraordinary festival artist family of Sophie, Tobi, Daniel, and Natsuko. BCMF will also showcase the emerging stars of the award-winning Tarilindy Quartet from ANAM and continue the partnership with Luke Severn and the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra for BCMF much-loved Community Concert.

This year, a subtle Schubert thread is running through the program, and with this lineup, BCMF couldn’t resist including The Four Seasons and a Mozart concert aria. There is also the chance to learn brilliant works by Fibich, Eberl, Dame Ethel Smyth, Baermann, Meyerbeer, Carl Vine and Rebecca Clarke.
