Featuring expert speakers from Canterbury District Health Board Health in all Policies team (NZ), Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, RMIT’s Healthy Liveable Cities group, and the Heart Foundation’s Healthy Active by Design team, the conference will:
- Explore how health and planning professionals can work together with a shared focus
- Illustrate how to apply a wellbeing lens across a wide range of strategies, policies and projects
- Host two afternoon streams for delegates to choose from:
Statutory and strategic planning stream – Planning Healthy Liveable regional communities
Experts will present the latest evidence on achieving liveability in the built environment and outlines tools to guide local policy development and decision making.
Includes a workshop exploring how tools can be adapted to guide land use polices in regional Victoria.
Population health stream – Integrating a health lens into planning decisions
Participants will gain a better understanding of the Health in all Policies concept, and obtain insights into considering land use planning and policy to achieve population health outcomes.
