Find Some Quiet Time

Turn off your notifications, put away any technology and take some time out.  Find some quiet space at home, in your garden, outdoors or even in your car.  Do some breathing exercises, meditate, listen to the sounds around you or some music, do some yoga and soak up the peacefulness for the day ahead.

Cook A New Recipe

Healthy or indulgent, sweet or savoury, why not cook or bake from a new recipe? There’s something satisfying about cooking something from scratch and sharing it with the ones you love.  Or sharing some baked goodies with your neighbour? Either way it’s a win-win situation.  Better still, use local produce from Bendigo Wholefoods and Edwards Providore.  And you can always pick up cookware and baking tools from the team at The Pepperpot. Do Something Nice For Someone

The smallest gesture can make the biggest difference to someone.  Doing something nice for someone else can be as simple as giving a compliment, calling a friend for a chat, sending them a thoughtful message or letting them know you care.  You can’t put a value on making someone smile or even making their day. It will be just as rewarding for you as it is for them.

Perhaps a bunch of flowers from Libertine Florist will put a smile on your dial?

Learn Something New

Exercising your brain is just as important as exercising any other muscle in the body. Learning something new is not only valuable, but it’s also fun! Need some ideas? Why not get crafty and learn to sew, try photography or painting?  Maybe mastering a musical instrument might be more your style or learning to bake? Perhaps it’s taking up a new sport like golf, paddling or cycling. Learn how to change a tyre, fix a car or work on a beautiful garden. Or why not learn a new language?  The possibilities are endless.

Take Time Out To Reflect

It’s important to be kind to yourself and sometimes we need to remind ourselves of what is important.  Start a journal, write down the things that you are grateful for, make a note of the things that make you happy and smile.  These are the things that we need to take more notice of and incorporate into our lives.

Our tip, visit Organise My… to pick a beautiful journal to get yourself started.

Declutter Your Life

Spring is a great time to clean and declutter, whether it’s your mind, your schedule, priorities or your house.  This might include writing a list of things you want to do, cleaning out your wardrobe, giving your bedroom a makeover, cleaning out the fridge or pantry. Whatever it might be, you’ll feel all the more better for it.  Better still, this also means you’ll have space to treat yourself to something new. Perhaps it’s a new outfit, an indoor plant, fresh local produce or something decorative for your home. You can find beautiful home décor, clothing and accessories at both Mon Coeur and Oliver Birch.
