Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music

September 6 – 8

It’s the most innovative and virtuosic concert music of its kind bringing performers from all around the world direct to Bendigo’s View Street arts precinct.  This year BIFEM welcomes all new immersive experiences for everyone to participate in and become a part of the festival, in addition to long form performances and premiere pieces.

Bendigo Annual Tulip Display

Mid-September – Mid-October

With warmer days on their way, more than 45,000 of Bendigo’s famed-tulips will open to brighten the beautiful heritage streets from mid to late September to mid-October.  Explore this gorgeous display along Pall Mall and the Conservatory Garden, in an assortment of colours, sizes and blooms.  Join a curator talk or explore on your own.  Be sure to share your photos with us on social by simply tagging #BendigoTulips and #ExploreBendigo on Instagram.

Bendigo Uncorked Week

October 4 – 12

An entire week of wine and food events, yes please!  Indulge your senses in this beautifully crafted boutique experience as eight events are held in some of Bendigo’s best grand gold rush buildings and cellar doors.  The week begins with Bendigo Heritage After Dark at Bendigo’s Discovery and Science Centre on Friday 4th October, and concludes with the ever popular Bendigo Heritage Uncorked o Saturday 12th October.

It’s all about the love at the Vegecareian Festival at The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion.  Celebrating a love for food, animals and life, learn how vegetarianism has developed in other communities, watch cooking demonstrations and sample vegetarian dishes from all over the world.  Plus your furry friends are welcome to attend and receive a blessing by a monk.

Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival

November 7 – 10

120 acts at 40 venues over 4 days – how cool is that! Join us as Bendigo transforms into one citywide live music venue, with a focus on local and independent talent. The centrepiece of the program is a day-long family friendly concert featuring more than a dozen acts over two stages in the picturesque Rosalind Park on Saturday 9th November.
