Cornella Canola Walk

30th August – mid-September
Central Victoria’s canola season is pure sunshine. The Colbinabbin and Cornella fields are exploding into a riot of yellow, turning the countryside into a jaw-dropping sea of blooms. Thanks to the legends at The Shiraz Republic and Cornella Brewery, you can wander a specially designed trail and snap envy-inducing pics from a viewing platform overlooking 100 acres of floral fabulousness, all without trampling on a single petal. It’s nature’s runway, and you’re invited to strut your stuff.

The Village of Gnomes

19th September – 5th October
The Village of Gnomes is back this spring at the stunning Canterbury Gardens, bringing a playful twist to your park adventure. Go on a treasure hunt to find all 11 hidden gnomes, snap a selfie with each cheeky character, and soak up the beauty of the blooming gardens. It’s a magical experience for kids, and grown-ups, of all ages.

Bloom After Dark

19th September – 5th October 
Discover Bendigo's tulip display after dark! Running nightly from Friday 19th September - Sunday October 5th, this free, family-friendly activation is sure to impress the entire family.

Bendigo Annual Tulip Display

13th September – early October
Spring in Bendigo doesn’t truly begin until the skies turn blue, the days grow warmer, and our tulips start showing off their spectacular colours. With over 43,000 tulips blooming along the iconic Pall Mall and Conservatory Gardens, it’s a dazzling display of nature’s finest work. Expect a kaleidoscope of colours, sizes, and blooming times.

Harvest Moon Festival

26th September
Celebrate the magic of the moon at Bendigo’s Harvest Moon Festival, lighting up the Dai Gum San Chinese Precinct. This free community event is bursting with colour, culture, and connection, featuring thrilling Lion Dance performances, vibrant acts from local cultural groups, and delicious mooncakes to savour. It’s all about reunion, gratitude, and good fortune. So, bring your family and friends and soak up the festive vibes.

Bloomin Good Market

28th September, 26th October, 2nd November
More like a mini festival than a market, the Bloomin Good Market brings Bendigo to life with blooming tulips, artisan treats, and local flair at Sidney Myer Place. Surrounded by the stunning Conservatory Gardens and Pall Mall’s floral display, visitors can sip bloomin’ good coffee, nibble sweet and savoury delights, groove to live music, and soak up the vibrant energy of local bakers, makers, and shakers, all in one joyful, flower-filled celebration.

Bendigo Comedy Festival

1st – 10th October
Spring in Bendigo is about to get a whole lot funnier with the Bendigo Comedy Festival returning for its sixth year, and over two laugh-packed weeks. Catch a stellar line  up of Aussie comedy legends like Nazeem Hussain, Lizzy Hoo, Michael Hing, Dilruk Jayasinha and more, lighting up iconic venues including the Black Swan Hotel, Bendigo Library, Cambrian Hotel, Capital Theatre and the Engine Room. With big names, belly laughs, and good vibes galore, this is one festival you cannot miss.

Loddon Valley Arts Festival

3rd – 5th October 
Over three vibrant days, explore a trail of exhibitions and events tucked into the region’s most charming spots, from rustic woolsheds and heritage churches to lively town centres and beautifully preserved halls. Heathcote Wine and Food Festival

4th – 5th October 
A beloved highlight of Australia’s wine calendar, this vibrant two-day celebration brings the best of Heathcote’s renowned wine region together, at the Heathcote Showgrounds. Wander through a charming village-style setting, perfect for families and wine lovers alike. Sip on new releases and award-winning drops, savour delicious local fare, enjoy live music from Bendigo Blues & Roots, and let the kids enjoy lawn games and entertainment.

Diamonds Game

4th October 
Get ready Bendigo, netball royalty is returning to town. The Origin Australian Diamonds, the world’s number one ranked team, are set to light up Bendigo Stadium, launching an electrifying series against South Africa. This clash marks the first in a thrilling showdown. Don’t miss your chance to witness elite netball action and cheer on the champs as they chase glory once again!

Bendigo Open Studios

10th - 12th October 
Meet 48 incredible local artists across a dazzling mix of mediums, from painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, digital art, fibre, pop art, street art and more. From Longlea to Mandurang, studios across Greater Bendigo are throwing open their doors for demos, workshops, chats, and the chance to buy direct from the artists themselves. Whether you're a seasoned art lover or a curious explorer, there's something here to inspire everyone.

Hidden Spaces Wine Walk

18th October 
The Heritage & Hidden Spaces Wine Walk is back, and it’s pouring with flavour, history, and fun. Wander through Bendigo’s CBD at your own pace, sipping incredible wines in stunning venues, some historic, some secret, and some open just for this event. Add a tasty food upgrade, sneak into exclusive VIP experiences, and soak up the stories behind Bendigo’s most beautiful spaces. It’s the ultimate day of wine, wander, and wow.

Bendigo Agricultural Show

24th – 25th October
Spring in Bendigo wouldn’t be complete without the Bendigo Agricultural Show Society’s Annual Show, jam-packed family fun and country charm. From cuddly critters in the animal nursery and impressive livestock displays to thrilling rides, show bags galore, market stalls, and a spectacular fireworks finale, there’s something for the whole family. With a two-day horse program and all your favourite attractions returning, it’s the perfect family day out.

Wedderburn Open Gardens

For one-day-only enjoy a floral adventure bursting with charm, colour, and creativity at the Wedderburn Open Gardens. Just a short hop from the heart of Wedderburn, six stunning local gardens will swing their gates open to showcase blooming brilliance, quirky designs, and the personalities of passionate green thumbs. Vegecarien Festival

1st November 
Held annually at the awe-inspiring Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, this free event brings together delicious vegetarian and vegan eats from around the globe, sizzling cooking demos, lively market stalls, toe-tapping music, inspiring speakers, and heaps of fun for the little ones. And yes, your furry friends are welcome too (they can even receive a special blessing from a Buddhist monk or nun).
