Because there's nothing better than seeing the joy, fun and adventure on your little ones faces as they get out and about and enjoy Bendigo's best play spaces. Eaglehawk Play Space

Located on the shores of Lake Neangar, this contemporary play space is shaped like a giant eagle hawk and offers a unique and diverse range of play experiences to cater for kids of all ages.

The space features custom designed play equipment inspired by the famous Banjo Patterson poem Mulga Bill’s Bicycle and a butterfly themed junior play area called Where Angels Play. Your kids will be swinging, spinning and sliding with adventure and movement play, plus there's a series of pathways, accessible play opportunities, extensive landscaping, picnic and barbecue facilities for the whole family to enjoy.

Nearby you'll also find the Peter Krenz Leisure Centre, Canterbury Park Oval and Sports Precinct, Canterbury Park Gardens, the McKern Skate Park and the Mulga Bill bike trail.

Bendigo Botanic Gardens

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, this award winning play space features garden rooms enclosed by hedges that provide creative and imaginative play opportunities.

You'll find a Secret Garden where your little one can discover treasures such as the hidden mirror and a special child-size mushroom table and chairs. On the roly-poly lawn children can play croquet or enjoy rolling around on the grassy slopes, climb to the top of the fort and look over the gardens or pretend to be the king or queen in the oversize throne chairs.

There are also BBQ's, picnic tables, a drinking fountain and public toilet nearby, plus the Garden for the Future adjoining the gardens. This is truly a beautiful space for children and families to enjoy a great day out.

Park Lane Play Bendigo

If your chasing indoor fun and a play space with a difference, be sure to visit Park Lane Play Bendigo at  BIG4 Bendigo Park Lane. Your kids will be in awe of the giant four level indoor play centre. Complete with 5 giant slides, a soft ball cannon play zone, two trampolines, a large ball pit and a flying fox and more.

Suitable for kids aged 3 - 14 years old with a dedicated interactive toddler area for children under the age of 4, kids of all ages will be able to have hours of fun-powered exercise running around this amazing play wonderland.

Fun Loong Play Space

The Fun Loong play space is located in Hargreaves Mall in the CBD. Its name is a play on the name of the iconic Bendigo dragon Sun Loong.

Kids can play on the head and body of a bright red dragon, climb up into the dragon’s head and spin its eyes around and slide down its tongue, jump on the trampoline or run on the dragon’s tail and wavy boardwalk. Climb the colourful hoops, weave in and out of a pole forest, play hide and seek, crawl in the tunnel and under the steps, or whisper through the yellow sound tubes to the dragon or friends. Wow!

Heathcote Play Space

Heathcote Lions Play Space has a unique design that reflects Heathcote's wine growing in the region. It features a large barrel-shaped play unit, a cable ride, swings, slides, seesaw, mini trampoline, spinner, water pump and xylophone.

The space is beautifully set in a semi-shaded, fenced area complete with seating and drinking fountain, plus accessible swings. There are BBQs and shelters in Barrack Recreation Reserve to add to a family day trip, and it's a great place to stop on your ride along the O'Keefe Rail Trail or to explore a little further out to Pink Cliffs.

Long Gully Splash Park

The Long Gully Splash Park is a free, zero depth water splash park with a dry play area. Kids can enjoy the ‘gold rush’ themed park with shaded seating, BBQs and extra all season play areas. Perfect for warmer days!

Strathdale Park Play Space

Located near the corner of McIvor Highway and Crook Street, this popular and colourful play space is fenced and offers a wide variety of play opportunities for children of all ages and abilities including a junior area. Kids will love the combination of natural, built and standard play equipment providing spinning, swinging, rocking, climbing and sliding play, not to mention the water play station area covered in jewels and fun play.
