Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens are bringing a pre-season showcase of netball action to Red Energy Arena Bendigo. 150th Anniversary Match - Birthplace of Australian Women’s Cricket in Bendigo

29 March 

Celebrate 150 years of Australia's first women’s cricket match at the QEO. Watch Bendigo vs Ballarat in a 20/20 format match on Good Friday from 2pm.

Prior to the game, Cricket Victoria will coordinate and run a Children’s Cricket Clinic commencing at 1pm, and two players will arrive to the match by horse and carriage.

Have A Hit Of Tennis

Love tennis? Make your way to Bendigo Regional Tennis Centre. Everyone is welcome to hire a court and have a hit, from morning through to evening sessions. The facilities are second to none with free car parking on site, coaching available, a retail space to pick up new gear and grab a drink and a bite to eat at the Healthy Serve Café. Added bonus, it's across the road from Lake Weeroona and backs onto the Bendigo Creek Trail.

Get On Your Bike

Bendigo has a long reputation as a cycling-friendly city, with more than 350km of dedicated paths and trails to explore. 

Explore the city's major landmarks along the Bendigo Creek Trail. This family-friendly option passes colourful street art, tree-lined streets and major attractions. The Parks to Pottery Path will take you from Rosalind Park, past Lake Weeroona and Bendigo Botanic Gardens, and ends at Bendigo Pottery. Alternatively, Tramways to Cafes heads in the opposite direction from Bendigo Tramways Depot along the Spring Gully Trail past a variety of coffee shops.

If you're seeking more action, Spring Gully Mountain Bike Park is the perfect spot. A choose-your-own-adventure area offers a variety of tracks and paths ideal for mountain bike riders and BMXers.

For a little more distance, the O'Keefe Rail Trail will take you 49km from Bendigo to Heathcote along the old railway line - past waterways, stunning bushland, recreation reserves and a couple of great country pubs.
