Clay Play at Bendigo Pottery

29th June - 11th July 
Get ready for a clay-tastic adventure at Australia’s oldest working pottery. Bendigo Pottery is the ultimate spot for school holiday fun, where creativity gets a little messy (in the best way!).
Jump onto the pottery wheel, squish and shape your own creation, then add your personal flair with paint and decoration. From first-timers to repeat visitors, everyone can get hands-on and have a go.
With friendly expert potters cheering you on, kids, big and small, can let their imagination run wild. So, roll up those sleeves, dive into the clay, and take home a masterpiece that’s 100% you. Let the messy magic begin!

CURIOSITY: Building Breakthroughs in LEGO® Bricks

Get ready to spark your curiosity and imagination at CURIOSITY: Building Breakthroughs in LEGO® Bricks, now on at the Discovery Science & Technology Centre. Created by Ryan “Brickman” McNaught and his talented team, this hands-on adventure brings science, technology, engineering and maths to life using everyone’s favourite building blocks! What’s waiting inside?
•    A towering 7.5 metre NASA Space Launch System rocket.
•    Lifesize LEGO® builds of the Mars Rover Perseverance and Ingenuity helicopter.
•    Interactive zones where kids (and grown-ups!) can play, build and invent their own LEGO® masterpieces.

Nature-themed Activities at Peppergreen Farm

27th June - 11th July
Head to Peppergreen Farm for fresh air, creativity and family fun. Kids can enjoy a range of free, self-led, nature-inspired activities:

- Rock photo holders
- Nature suncatchers
- Insect-inspired rock painting
- Solar (cyanotype) nature artwork
- Nature crowns and bracelets

With a dedicated kids’ menu and plenty of space to explore, it’s the perfect outing for all ages. You can relax with a coffee while the little ones get creative in the winter sunshine. 

TRAMpionship Mini Golf

27th June - 11th July
Get ready to have a HOLE lot of fun these school holidays when TRAMpionship Mini Golf comes to Hargreaves Mall. 
Featuring nine uniquely themed mini golf holes inspired by Bendigo, you and your friends can putt your way around iconic local landmarks. 

This is a free activity. No bookings required. 
Open Tuesday - Saturday during the school holidays. 10am - 4pm. 

Bendigo Art Gallery Holiday Program

1st – 10th July
Dive into a world of creativity with hands-on art adventures led by the Bendigo Art Gallery Learn team with illumination artist Laura Jade, and kinetic artist Alex Sanson at the Discovery Science and Technology Centre.
Kids can light up their imaginations by building artworks with simple circuits, designing dazzling constellations, and bringing LEGO® creations to life with movement, animation and crafty fun. 

Little Explorers Day at The Great Stupa

10th July
Little Explorers Day at The Great Stupa is a perfect adventure for young kids aged 3 – 8. They can enjoy a guided journey through the Peace Park, completing fun challenges, exploring nature, and creating their own binoculars and name tag as they work towards becoming official 'Stupa Explorers'. Families can relax with a delicious Explorer Lunch from the StupaView Café, plus there's a free coffee for mum or dad. 

Pan for Gold

Did you know Bendigo was once one of the richest goldfields in the world? Now it’s your turn to strike it lucky! Make your way to Central Deborah Gold Mine and grab a gold pan, or head underground to see if you can uncover some hidden treasure. Feel like a real miner as you work the drills, search for gold – just like the miners did back in the day. Open every day, this is one adventure you don’t want to miss.

And while you’re at it, hop aboard a Vintage Tram and take a ride through Bendigo’s golden history. Keep an eye out for the Yarn Bomb Tram, a cosy local favourite in the winter months.

Catch a Movie

Warm up this winter by staying indoors and catching a movie during the school holidays.
Settle into a cosy red sofa at the historic Eaglehawk Town Hall’s Star Cinema for a relaxed, homey experience full of charm, or head to Bendigo Cinema for the latest blockbuster releases and try your hand at the arcade games. Perfect fun for the whole family while you escape the chill outside.
