PUBLIC ENTRY
Welcome to Bendigo Art Gallery. We are dedicated to providing an inspiring and safe environment for the enjoyment of art while ensuring the protection of the artworks and the safety of our visitors and staff. Please review and comply with the following terms of entry to help us preserve this space for everyone.
We are open to the public 7 days a week, 10 am - 5 pm including all public holidays except Christmas Day.
General admission is free.
By entering the Bendigo Art Gallery, each person agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of Public Entry:
While on the premises of Bendigo Art Gallery, you are required to refrain from:
- Touching, or in any other way, interfering with artworks on display.
- Using photographic or recording equipment in any areas where restrictions apply.
- Using tripods, selfie sticks, flash photography, or any lighting equipment without the express prior approval from Bendigo Art Gallery.
- Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, anywhere inside the Gallery.
- Consuming food or beverages within the Gallery.
- Bringing animals into the Gallery, except for Accredited Assistance Dogs.
Bendigo Art Gallery reserves the right to:
- Refuse or remove any individual from the Gallery, or part of any building/structure, managed or controlled by the Gallery.
- Inspect bags, luggage or any personal belongings upon entry and/or before leaving the Gallery.
- Create and use visual and audio records, including photographs, video and sound recordings, of events and activities at the Gallery for reporting, archival, and promotional purposes. These records may include images, film and/or sound recordings, including those captured through social media or other digital means.
- Monitor the Gallery premises with Security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras for safety and security.
While at Bendigo Art Gallery, visitors must:
- Comply with any Gallery rules, policies, and signage.
- Behave in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of Bendigo Art Gallery does not interfere with, disrupt, offend or disturb other persons in the Gallery.
- Cloak bags and any items deemed to be large by Bendigo Art Gallery at reception upon entry to the Gallery. Any personal belongings left in these reas are at the owner's risk.
- Place umbrellas in the tubs provided at the Gallery’s entrances, these items left are at the owner’s risk.
- Always wear appropriate footwear for safety.
- Supervise children or minors (including school students) in your care at all times and ensure their compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
- Comply with any reasonable instructions from Gallery staff, including signage, in relation to your entry or continued presence in the Gallery.
TICKETING
Before proceeding with your purchase, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. You must not complete your purchase unless you agree with these Terms and Conditions.
Our goal is to make your purchasing experience easy, efficient and equitable.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notice. Amendments will be reflected on our website.

Exhibition Ticketing
- A valid ticket must be produced to gain entry to a ticketed exhibition, program or event.
- Tickets are valid only for the specific exhibition, event or program for which they have been issued, at the specific date and time period stated on the ticket.
- All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and include local taxes (GST).
- A booking cannot be confirmed without full receipt of payment.
- Ticket holders should be prepared to produce valid identification at point of entry.
- Bendigo Art Gallery Member2, Concession1 and PGAV member ticket holders must produce valid identification for collection of tickets and tickets presented at the venue. If proof of entitlement is not able to be presented, ticket holders may be required to upgrade to an Adult ticket. Individual Concession, BAG Member and PGAV member cards must be presented to receive discounted tickets.
- Bendigo Art Gallery reserves the right to cancel a ticket and refund the amount paid.
- If Print at Home ticketing is unavailable or cannot be accessed, tickets can only be collected by the purchaser recorded. Please advise at point of entry.
- Bendigo Art Gallery reserves the right to vary ticket prices, seating arrangements and capacity, add, withdraw, or reschedule programs and presenters.
- Lost, stolen or destroyed tickets cannot be replaced.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Any general exchange requests that occur prior to an event date/exhibition session entry will incur $5 per ticket administration fee.
- General exchange requests after a date/session has occurred is not permitted.
- Exhibition tickets cannot be used for any other program or event.
- General admission exhibition tickets do not permit entry into other programs or events; such events are ticketed separately unless clearly stated.
- Entry to Bendigo Art Gallery exhibitions is subject to capacity at the time of arrival. Late arrival for exhibitions and programs may result in non-admittance.
- Bendigo Art Gallery tickets are not to be used for advertising, promotions, contests, or resale unless authorised by Bendigo Art Gallery. Use of Bendigo Art Gallery’s trademarks and other intellectual property is subject to Bendigo Art Gallery’s consent. Bendigo Art Gallery reserves the right to cancel a ticket if any of these terms and conditions are considered to be breached.
- Bendigo Art Gallery will request and record personal information necessary for the provision of the service. These details will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed without your consent. The collection, use and management of personal information is regulated by the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). For more information, please refer to the Bendigo Art Gallery Privacy policy.
- If the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.
- All ticket sales and right of admission is reserved and subject to Bendigo Art Gallery Terms and Conditions of Public Entry. Any persons not adhering to the Terms and Conditions of Public Entry will be asked to leave the premises, and will not be eligible for a refund
- The event organiser reserves the right to refuse entry.
Bendigo Art Gallery Members
- Members receive discounted tickets to most of Bendigo Art Gallery’s exhibitions programs and events.
- Bendigo Art Gallery Member special offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
- Bendigo Art Gallery Membership is non-refundable.
- Bendigo Art Gallery reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notice.
Bendigo Art Gallery Ticket Vouchers
- Bendigo Art Gallery Ticket Vouchers are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase. Unused values will not be refunded or attributed to any transactions after the expiry date.
- Bendigo Art Gallery Ticket Vouchers can only be redeemed against Exhibition and Program tickets.
- Ticket Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, returned for a refund, have their balances consolidated to a new voucher, be replaced after expiry, and are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities.
Education Groups
- Education bookings and inquiries can be made by visiting Bendigo Art Gallery Learn pages on the website.
- All Education group bookings and right of admission is reserved and subject to Bendigo Art Gallery Ticket Terms and Conditions.
[1] Concession ticket prices apply only to Australian Pensioner, Healthcare card, Carer card, Australian Senior Card holders and full-time student card holders.
[2] A valid Bendigo Art Gallery Membership card must be produced when Member discounted tickets are collected or presented.
