Victorian Government Covid19 restrictions are in place to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and save lives. For more information on the Covid19 restrictions please visit the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services website.

The following is our CovidSafe plan.

Is the Bendigo Art Gallery open to the general public?

We are now opened to the public 7 days a week, 10am - 5pm including all public holidays except for Christmas day. We are adhering to the guidelines issued by the Victorian Government .

What measures are being put in place to keep staff and customers safe?

Entry is restricted and physical distancing requirements are in place for all visitors and staff.

Increased hygiene measures include additional cleaning of high-touch surfaces and hand sanitiser is available for visitors as they enter. Additional staff throughout the Gallery are in place to ensure visitors are observing social distancing and to help manage visitor movement through the gallery spaces.

If you are unwell or in a high-risk category please consider your need to visit, your well-being is our priority!

Will I need to book before I visit?

Yes.

As mandated by the Victoria State Government, institutions must keep data on all visitors.  As a condition of entry we are required to capture the contact details of all visitors to assist with contact tracing in the event of a confirmed case of COVID-19.  The information will be held according  to relevant privacy law requirements.

As the Gallery has very limited visitor capacity, booking before you visit will enable us to manage capacity and will help to avoid delays and queues.  If you do not book before your visit, please note that you may be required to queue outside or be unable to enter due to capacity restrictions.

Bendigo Art Gallery will provide further advice if there are any changes to these arrangements as the response to the pandemic continues to evolve.

Does it cost to book online?

Entry is FREE and there are no charges for booking online (unless specified otherwise for ticketed exhibitions).

We encourage you to follow our social media, Instagram and Facebook  for further updates as well as additional exhibition and Gallery content.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bendigo Art Gallery and thank you for your patience and support as we all adapt to these new circumstances.
