Covid19 restrictions have lifted and we are opened from Friday 10, September 2021. We are opened 7 days a week, every day of the year including public holidays. We are only closed Christmas Day.
General admission and current exhibitions are free, you are required to check-in at reception to register your visit for Covid19 capacity restrictions.
We use the Victorian Government Service App for contact tracing. Please download the Victorian Government Service App on your smart phone device and register prior to your visit. QR codes at venue entrances are scanned using your smart phone camera, within the App and sign-in is completed instantly.
Please observe a social distance of 1.5 meters from other patrons where possible, including while in exhibition spaces, queuing at reception, toilets, entrances and exits. If you are unable to social distance please wear a mask. Cloaking services will not be available. We ask that you do not bring large or bulky items to the gallery.

Is the Bendigo Art Gallery open to the general public?
We are now opened to the public 7 days a week, 10am - 5pm including all public holidays except for Christmas day. We are adhering to the guidelines issued by the Victorian Government .
You are required to provide photo ID upon entry.
What measures are being put in place to keep staff and customers safe?
Entry is restricted and physical distancing requirements are in place for all visitors and staff.
Increased hygiene measures include additional cleaning of high-touch surfaces and hand sanitiser is available for visitors as they enter. Additional staff throughout the Gallery are in place to ensure visitors are observing social distancing and to help manage visitor movement through the gallery spaces.
Our cloaking service has been temporarily suspended and we ask that you do not bring into the Gallery any bulky items.
If you are unwell or in a high-risk category please consider your need to visit, your well-being is our priority!
Do I need to wear a mask?
You are required to wear a mask at all times.
