'This painting depicts two mountain ranges, one upside down above another. It also depicts two human faces in profile. The lower mountains I have shaped to my face while the upper range has the profile of my partner, Sam. I based this painting on photos taken while we were hiking in the mountains of New Zealand. We spend most of our spare time exploring the natural environment and I wanted to create a picture of us that reflected our love of the landscape.'
