The exhibition Void deals with many different aspects of Indigenous Culture. This guide seeks to provide you with basic building blocks to create a culturally safe, authentic base for starting a wonderful learning experience for your students.
This education resource explores key themes and influences from contemporary ceramicist Prue Venables’ creative practice, drawing heavily on her own descriptions of the formative ideas underpinning her practice and unpacking them via a series of activities to engage students.

After the popularity of the Studio Arts Exam Revision Workshop, the Gallery is offering the opportunity for Education Officer Helen Attrill to visit your class using video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet or others used by your school to revise specific points. These presentations are usually up to an hour in length, available on Mondays and Wednesdays only.

Bendigo Art Gallery in partnership with La Trobe Art Institute present this online interactive workshop will provide students with revision of Unit 3-4 Studio Arts Outcome 3 content in preparation for the end of year examination.
Learn what to expect in a Studio Arts exam such as structure, time management and the importance of correct application of terminology in gaining maximum marks.

Learn about both traditional and contemporary art through an engaging tour of the Gallery's exhibitions pitched to the year level of your students.
Talk to one of our Education Officers about addressing a theme your students may be studying and extended resources to accommodate individual learning needs.
This program introduces students to exhibitions at both Bendigo Art Gallery and La Trobe Art Institute providing ideal stimuli for folio themes, artist study and exhibitions. Resources will be provided giving insight into curatorial considerations related to the display of specific artworks in exhibitions and exhibition viewing. Teachers can value add to their day by planning to visit exhibitions at alternative art spaces in Bendigo such as Chancery Lane and Pennyweight Walk with its display of commissioned public artworks.

Students in Years 9 and 10 are invited to the Gallery to view photographs in the Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion exhibition and then participate in a hands-on photography workshop with models in and around the View Street Arts Precinct.
In collaboration with the National Gallery of Victoria, Bendigo Art Gallery is delighted to present Desert Lines: Batik from Central Australia. The exhibition showcases batiks and selection of paintings from five distinct desert communities – Ernabella (Pukatja), Fregon (Kaltjiti), Utopia, Yuendumu and Kintore (Walungurru).
