Bendigo Art Gallery is located in the Bendigo CBD at 42 View Street. 

Bendigo is approximately 150 km north-west of Melbourne and can be reached by car or V/Line train.

Travelling by car

Estimated travelling time from Melbourne to Bendigo is 90 minutes and via the Calder Freeway (M79). 

Parking

There is plenty of public parking near the Gallery. 

Off-street (ticketed) car parking is available at the Rosalind Park car park, behind the Capital Theatre and the Gallery. Entry is at View and Rowan streets.

You can purchase a ticket at the available machines or avoid the machine queue by using the PayStay app. Enter the zone number displayed on the easy to identify PayStay signage and start a parking session.

There are two ticketed multistorey car parks close by – on Edward Street and Hargreaves Street. There are several short-term on-street carparks along View, Rowan and Mackenzie streets. These fill up quickly, especially on busy days.

Travelling with V/Line

The Melbourne to Bendigo V/Line express train service takes about 90 minutes. You can then walk Bendigo Railway Station to Bendigo Art Gallery in approximately 15 minutes. 

Buses run from Bendigo Railway Station to the Gallery (look for bus number 50, 52, 53, 54 or 55).
