Companion Card
Bendigo Art Gallery accepts the Companion Card. Carers and attendants accompanying cardholders receive free entry to ticketed exhibitions and events on presentation of the Companion Card.
To pre-book tickets with a Companion Card contact GoTix by emailing [email protected] or by phone on (03) 5434 6100 from 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Level access
You can access Bendigo Art Gallery at the View Street entrance, via stairs or the ramp.
Parking
There disabled parking on View Street and in the carpark behind The Capital and the Gallery. Entry is at View and Rowan streets. For more parking locations and disabled/accessible parking please visit the City Of Greater Bendigo website.
Wheelchairs
You can borrow a wheelchair from the reception desk at the View Street entrance. Please reserved a wheelchair ahead of your visit to the Gallery on 03 5434 6088.
Access programs
Programs for people with access needs. Gallery explorations and hands-on creative sessions led by education officers for all ages.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are located near the View Street and Rosalind Park entrances.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status
Visitors do not currently need to provide verification of their vaccination status to enter the Gallery.

Guide dogs
Assistance and guide dogs are welcome at the Gallery. Ask for a water bowl at the reception desk near the View Street entrance.

Information for autistic visitors or those with sensory sensitivities
Certain items are not allowed in the Gallery. This is for the safety of the objects on display.
- You cannot bring in food and drinks, or sticky items such as putty.
- You can store items that you are not allowed to take into the Gallery in the cloakroom.
- You can take quiet sensory tools/stimming toys into the Gallery.
Please do not touch the objects. This can cause damage.
The air-conditioning vents at Bendigo Art Gallery are in the floor throughout the building.
The air conditioning is maintained at 21.5 degrees throughout the building. This is the best temperature to conserve the objects.
Lighting is low throughout the exhibition to protect the objects. Many materials are particularly sensitive to light: paper, fabric, leather, photographs, and media (inks, colourants, dyes, and many other materials used to create objects and art).
