Drawing on Bendigo Art Gallery’s permanent collection, this exhibition explores the use of colour, composition and linear markings to depict the Ancestral and spiritual connections between First Nations People, Place and Country. Markings from Country features paintings by internationally-celebrated masters Dorothy Napangardi and Emily Kame Kngwarreye, alongside recent acquisitions of large-scale works by Daniel Boyd and Betty Kuntiwa Pumani.
