'Bronwyn Hack has a fervent art practice resulting in poignant work, at times leaning toward melodrama.
'Earlier work centred on sensitively rendered portrayals of animals both wild and domestic. Recent work builds on these concepts and progresses further, focusing on sections of the body, bones and bodily forms.
'In this ongoing series, Hack explores ideas around life and death, unpacking the body and isolating and abstracting its contents.
'In 'The Inside and Outside of a Dog', we see Hack folding past practice into present, exploring cross sections of animals with tender elegance.'
