Henry Wagons
Unanimously lauded as one of one of Australia’s great entertainers, a Henry Wagons show is a true sight to behold. As a lover of Elvis, you can see the inspiration.
Wagons hosts Australia’s biggest national Americana/ Roots music radio show ‘Tower of Song’ on national broadcaster Double J. Henry also keeps his insanely busy schedule packed as a television presenter, having worked on Australia’s culture and arts show on ABC’s ‘Art Nation’ for three years while also hosting interview series ‘Rogue Tales’ for James Squire and on TV series ‘Keepers of the Flame’ on Channel 10.
You'll find Wagons' essay on Graceland in the Elvis: Direct from Graceland exhibition catalogue.
Nkechi Anele
Nkechi Anele is a Nigerian-Irish Australian who grew up in Melbourne and spent over a decade in the Australian music industry as the lead singer in Saskwatch.
In 2015, with best friend Lucie Cutting, she started The Pin, a discussion platform about race, identity, and culture through an Australian lens. With the changing narrative around social identity politics and race in Australia, the two sort out to document the lived experience of BIPOC people, build a bank of knowledge and foster a community for all people to grow and discover. A year later, Nkechi took over triple j's program Roots N' All, where she championed emerging local and international music scenes for five years.
Creatively, Nkechi has lent herself to the stage, screen, and television and featured vocalist on multiple music projects.
