Enhance your printmaking skills in this exclusive professional development workshop with artist and educator Clayton Tremlett.
Workshop Details
Develop your skills in linocut portraiture and explore the essential elements of printmaking in a single day. Participants will:
✔ Learn how to design, transfer, carve, proof, and print a linocut portrait.
✔ Work with archival printmaking paper.
✔ Gain practical techniques to integrate linocut printing into the classroom.
✔ Use a personal photograph or image as a reference for their print.
The workshop is free through the VCES program but there will be a $20 cost for the materials.
As a former Head of Art, Clayton has pioneered collaborative curriculums and facilitated student-led public art projects. In this hands-on session, you'll gain not only technical skills but also practical strategies for embedding linocut printing into your teaching.

A professional artist and VIT-registered teacher, Clayton has over 20 years of experience helping students develop their creative voices. His expertise includes:
- Teaching linocut printing to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Mentoring students for Top Arts selections
- Running workshops at major Victorian galleries and schools.
- Specialising in printmaking techniques, including Etching, Drypoint, Milk Carton, and Collagraph printing.
