This workshop is part of Big Green Draw 2020; A Climate of Change, which is the biggest drawing festival in the world. The workshop takes inspiration from two great drawing exhibitions on now at Bendigo Art Gallery; Paul Guest Prize and Ross Taylor: Field notes.
You don’t need to be an artist to participate, you just need an open mind.
Each activity has been designed for its exploratory nature, its mind soothing capabilities and/or fun potential. So, the process of drawing is our focus, not the outcome.
Materials needed for this workshop are simply paper and pens and anything else you would like to bring. You can work on a table, the floor or a wall (with permission).
This year has challenged us all so during this workshop it’s time to unwind and smile.
All ages and abilities welcome, children under 7 must be accompanied. Click here to find out more about Big Green Draw 2020 now.
Get some inspiration from our curator Emma Busowsky Cox as she talks about contemporary drawing and current works by various artists in the Paul Guest Prize; a biennial award and exhibition highlighting contemporary drawing practice in Australia.
