This one-hour workshop explores how personal stories and identity are expressed through art. Aboriginal possum skin cloaks, like Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits, are deeply personal and symbolic, carrying the stories of individuals, families, and Country.
Participants will learn about the cultural significance of possum skin cloaks and look at the markings that represent identity and connection to Country. Through stamping, weaving, knotting and painting, participants will create their own designs, reflecting their own art story or journey with the learn team.
