Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion showcases the renowned Cristóbal Balenciaga, one of the most innovative and influential fashion designers of the 20th century. Ticketing has been kept very low for our students at $4 for member students and $5 for non-member students, primary and secondary.
Desert Lines: Batik from Central Australia, an exhibition of batiks and paintings, tells the story of Aboriginal women’s art in five distinct communities – Ernabella (Pukatja), Fregon (Kaltjiti), Utopia, Yuendumu and Kintore (Walungurru).
This exhibition provides an ideal opportunity for students to explore the cultural significance and techniques used by these important indigenous artists and address Victorian Curriculum requirements for learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The use of batik also provides an ideal connection with the teaching of Indonesian language and culture.
A range of tour packages are on offer for students on our website, or contact one of our Education Officers to discuss your needs.
Renew or take out your school membership to receive discounted entry to Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion and for Desert Lines activities. General tours are free for members for non-ticketed exhibitions.
Book your teacher team in for a great evening out!
