'Blētsian is a 'blessing painting' which appears like a doorway one might step through toward another place.
'It was made during the Victorian lockdowns of 2020, while homeschooling my daughter. Each day we would notice a variety of native birds tapping at the windows of our rural home, and we came to view these as little blessings of light visiting us during dark days.
'These birds appear amidst an array of strange faces and floating creatures, forming a kind of portal or a threshold, like a blessing one might step through, passing from one state to another.'
