Welcome all teachers and students to the continuing education program for 2020. With the majority of us working from home during the COVID-19 health situation, we are committed to bringing our exhibitions and education offers to you and your students.
Virtual tours of the below listed exhibitions will be accompanied with a range of wonderful educational resources. We are busy creating these and as more resources and information become available we will update this page.
Bessie Davidson was among many Australian female artists who travelled overseas at the turn of the nineteenth century to explore their artistic career’s. For the first time since 1967 her work is exhibited in Australia alongside her great niece’s, contemporary artist Sally Smart.
Watch Senior Curator Tansy Curtin and Sally Smart talk about this extraordinary exhibition. Apart from being an intriguing insight into the two artists, this is ideal viewing for Studio Arts Unit 4, Outcome 3 students.
Ross Taylor: Field notes captures beautiful landscapes and everyday interiors in pencil by Kyneton based artist Ross Taylor.
A virtual tour will also be available on line with a range of education resources aimed at primary and secondary levels from Friday 17th April.

The exciting PHOTO 2020 The Burning World exhibition has been rescheduled to September 2020 to coincide with PHOTO 2020 in Melbourne. The education days for these will run over two days at Bendigo Art Gallery and La Trobe Art Institute on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th of September.
We also have the upcoming exhibition, Piinpi: Contemporary Indigenous Fashion.
