Bendigo’s flagship performing arts venues - The Capital, The Engine Room and Ulumbarra Theatre - were closed  in March 2020. At Bendigo Venues & Events we have reimagined the way we connect with performing arts audiences and have produced and delivered a range of virtual events, seen in Bendigo and far beyond. Our online programs have supported local artists and provided connection and joy, during a time of isolation for many in our community. As we navigate our return to presenting live performances in our venues we continue to discover  new opportunities for our team, our audiences and our community. This Summer, we will be inviting community members to play a role in our future, through participation in surveys and focus groups.
