Overview

The Foyer space at The Capital supports an ongoing program of exhibitions.

This curated space provides an opportunity for local artists to present their work to the visitors who come to The Capital for live performances and other events.

The Capital Foyer - Local Artist Exhibition Program

As part of the Foyer program, Bendigo Venues and Events offers two local artists a year an opportunity to exhibit work in the foyer spaces at The Capital.  Work is displayed in the foyer space outside the Bendigo Bank Theatre for approximately six weeks and upstairs (including the stair-well) for approximately five months.

Selected artists are awarded an artist fee and provided marketing support and assistance with installation.

Applications for the first round of 2025 will close Monday September 9, 2024.

You can download the EoI here.

As with any application, artists are strongly encouraged to discuss their application before submitting (details on the EoI).
