Live on View (Artists on View contemporary music program) is presented by The City of Greater Bendigo via Bendigo Venues and Events (BV&E) to support local musicians performing in The Engine Room.
The program provides venue access, technical support, ticketing and promotion. Performers will receive ticket income; there is no additional funding provided under this program.
Live on View is open to individual musicians and bands living, working, or studying primarily in the City of Greater Bendigo.
Applications will be assessed by BV&E, with the assessment criteria focusing on the delivery of a diverse and integrated program together with the quality of the work.
Priority will be given to emerging artists or those presenting new work.

Applications are open for Round One have closed. Round Two applications are now open and will close Friday, July 18.
We encourage all eligible musicians to apply for this program.

The Engine Room
Located in View Street, next to The Capital, the original Fire Station served the Bendigo community up until 1983. The former engine room is a black box studio, incorporating flexible staging, seating, audio and lighting and is now used for a variety of activities, ranging from classes and workshops to music, dance, theatre, and other performances.

Live on View will support evening performances with two 45 min (approx.) brackets. These may be allocated to a single act (musician/group) performing two brackets or may be allocated to two acts (one bracket each).
- Events will be scheduled by BV&E throughout the year, with applications closing approximately two months/six weeks before the event.
- Dates will be included on the Artists on View – Contemporary Music website and application form.
- Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the assessment no later than one week after closing date.
- Thursday and Friday performances begin at 7pm (sound check from around 4pm), Sunday performances begin at 6pm (sound check from 2pm).

Technical support/Venue
- One day of venue access and technical support.
- A basic audio set up and Standard lighting rig.
Ticketing
- Events will be ticketed via gotix, with a single price-point of $10.
Advertising and promotion
BV&E will work with performers to promote their event. Support includes:
- Guidance around the creation of artwork and promotional assets and event webpage.
- Promotion via social media, an EDM, digital campaign and media release to be distributed City of Greater Bendigo Communications Team
