We have compiled a list of grants and opportunities for artists looking for support for their work.

  • This list will be updated on a quarterly basis so make sure you keep checking in. (Last updated, Wednesday 10 June, 2026)
  • Listings are sorted by deadline (earliest first), and then there are some Ongoing opportunities and links to other resources.
  • With any grant program you are advised to contact the funding body to discuss your application prior to submission,

Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artist Grants

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust runs funding rounds through which individual artists can apply for grants of up to $15,000.

The Trust funds nationally and supports artists working across the spectrum of the arts, from traditional art forms through to experimental mediums. 

As a general guide, the Trust considers emerging and early-career artists to be within 10 years of attaining their first formal arts qualification in their area of practice (such as an undergraduate degree or equivalent).

Foundation for Regional Rural Renewal (FRRR) – Strengthening Rural Communities Small and Vital

The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Small & Vital stream gives small remote, rural and regional communities across Australia the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities.

Small grants up to $10,000 are available with a preference for smaller communities (populations less than15,000).

Australia Post Community Grants

The Community Grants Program aims to support community-led, local projects that connect individuals and communities to improve mental health and wellbeing. Up to $10,000 is available for projects that could include:

  • Workshops
  • Yarning circles
  • Art or surf therapy
  • Peer support groups
  • Sport combined with community barbecues for disaster-impacted areas
  • Meditation and mindfulness sessions for trauma recovery
  • Culturally informed wellbeing workshops
  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Monthly gatherings for socially isolated community members

Creative Australia Arts and Disability Initiative

This initiative is for d/Deaf and disabled artists and arts workers. You can apply for funding to develop a new work, or to build your practice, skills and networks.

Grants of $30,000 only are available.You can also apply for up to $3,000 to support your access costs.

Regional Arts Fund – Quick Response Grants

Rounds are open on the first of every month and close on the last day of every month from February to November, for grants of up to $3,000 for individuals, $5,000 for organisations.

For small arts projects, professional development for artists and arts workers, and community capacity building projects.

Vicscreen Development Funding

Through development programs, Victorian writers and producers are supported to script high-quality stories from across our regions and cities and from diverse perspectives and origins, for cinema, television, online and virtual reality.  

We’re here for first-time screenwriters, seasoned creators and anyone who is ready to turn their ideas into a screen experience that will entertain, engage and excite.

VicScreen Victoria Production Fund - Screen

The Victorian Production Fund - Screen supports diverse and engaging Victorian-led content to be made in the state, growing Victoria’s pipeline of high-quality projects and ensuring a sustainable and globally competitive industry right here in Victoria.  

It will ensure that Australian and global audiences can watch more compelling Victorian-made stories on screens of all sizes: big, small and the one in your hand.

VicScreen Travel Support

While Victoria is a global screen hub that hosts many major screen events, VicScreen supports Victorian creators to attend international festivals, markets and business meetings in person to build international connections and promote their skills, projects and businesses.
