Tickets

Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online via our website, gotix.com.au, in person at the Box Office or over the phone (03) 5434 6100.

Where is the Box Office?
The Box Office at The Capital is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, and one hour prior to any scheduled performance or event.
The Box Office at Ulumbarra Theatre is open one hour prior to any scheduled performance or event.

I’ve lost my ticket
Tickets can be accessed viavia our website, gotix.com.au, through the Retrieve Tickets option. You will need to login to your GoTix account to access the tickets. Physical tickets can also be obtained from the Box Office at the Capital and Ulumbarra Theatre.

Do I need a GoTix account?
Yes. To purchase a ticket online, you will need to register for an account to be able to process the transaction. This allows you to access your purchased tickets if you have lost them and be notified if there are any changes to the performance, such as a change of day, time, or cancellation.

I am buying my ticket in person, why do you need my information?
It is a requirement that we have your name and contact information so we can both allocate you a seat and contact you if there are any changes to the performance, such as a change of day, time, or cancellation.

Payment methods
Online and over the phone, we accept Visa, Mastercard or gift voucher payments. In person at the Box Office you will have the additional option to pay by cash.

Do I need a ticket? 
Anyone 12 months old and over must have a ticket unless otherwise specified. 
Babies in arms under 12 months do not require a ticket and are not allocated a seat. 
Prams and carriers are not permitted in the auditorium. 

Can I buy a ticket from someone reselling their ticket? 
Only buy your tickets from the authorised ticket seller, which is GoTix.com.au and through our Box Office. If someone is reselling tickets online, please DO NOT purchase, and report the comment as it is likely a scammer.


Gift Vouchers 

How much is a gift voucher?
You get to choose the amount of the voucher, provided it is over the minimum value of $20.

How to purchase
You can purchase a gift voucher online via our website, gotix.com.au. You can also purchase a voucher by contacting the Box Office on (03) 5434 6100 or emailing [email protected]

What can a gift voucher be used for?
Gift vouchers are valid for purchases via our website, gotix.com.au or the Box Office and can include tickets and membership.

How to redeem
Vouchers can be redeemed online. Enter your gift voucher number in the Redeem Gift Voucher section of the Details page before proceeding to checkout.
Vouchers can also be redeemed over the phone or in person at the Box Office.

Can I redeem a voucher more than the total ticket price?
Yes. You can spend the balance of your voucher over multiple purchases, as long as it is used before the expiry date printed on your voucher.
Any remaining balance after purchase will be issued in a new voucher.


Refunds

Can I get a refund?
There are no refunds or exchanges on ticket purchases unless required by law. Terms and Conditions can be found here.
You can find out more via the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice.
Please consider your plans before purchasing tickets as refunds cannot be issues if you are unable to attend or change your mind.

What if the event is cancelled or rescheduled?
If the event is cancelled for any reason, ticket holders will be issued a full refund.
If the event time or date changes, or if it is postponed, customers will be contacted with the option to attend the new date/time, or offered a refund.

Can I give my tickets to a friend or family member?
Yes. Tickets are transferable to friends or family to use if you would like to pass them on.

Can I resell my ticket? 
We DO NOT authorise reselling of tickets, especially online. Scammers use online platforms to pose as someone reselling their tickets, so we discourage this practice for the safety of our community and ticket buyers.


Parking and Public Transport

Where should I park?
Capital theatre, Bendigo Bank Theatre, The Engine Room, and Dudley House:

  • On-street parking is available around The Capital, on View Street and Rowan Street. Please note time restrictions and meters are in place between 8.30am and 5.30pm. Check the signs.
  • Paid off-street parking is available in the Queen Elizabeth Oval (QEO) Car Park and is located behind The Capital.
  • Accessible parking for those with an access parking permit are available in the QEO car park and one space is available on View Street near the entrance of The Capital.

Ulumbarra Theatre:

  • There are several paid car parks in close proximity to Ulumbarra Theatre including Park Road Car Park (behind the Golden Dragon Museum) and the Queen Elizabeth Oval (QEO) car park.
  • Accessible parking closest to Ulmbarra Theatre are located on the side of the building off Gaol Road.

Bendigo Town Hall:

  • On-street parking is available around the Bendigo Town Hall. Meters and time restrictions apply.

*Please be aware that other events may be taking place at surrounding locations which may affect parking. We encourage you to look at the Explore Bendigo What’s On page to check what else may be occurring around the same time.

Public Transport
By train, estimated travelling time from Melbourne to Bendigo is 90 minutes. The arts precinct is approximately a 15-minute walk from Bendigo train station. For Bendigo train timetables, fares, maps, and travel information visit www.vline.com.au or phone V/Line on 1800 800 007.

By bus, from Bendigo train station you can catch a number 3 or number 5 bus to the View Street arts precinct. If you are heading to Ulumbarra Theatre, take a short walk via the Gaol Road extension which feeds from the QEO car park to the theatre's main entrance. Accessibility

Wheelchairs
All our venues have wheelchair access. To book wheelchair seating for a performance, contact our Box Office. Please book early to obtain the best available spaces.

Accessible Bathrooms
All our venues have accessible bathroom facilities available. Refer to the specific venue’s page for an indication on where they are located.

Hearing Aid Loop
The Capital Theatre and the Ulumbarra Theatre also have a hearing loop system for people with hearing aids.

Companion Cards 
All our venues accept the Companion Card. Carers and attendants accompanying cardholders receive free entry to shows and events. A Companion Card must be presented when booking. Contact our Box Office for details.

Lost and Found 

If you believe you may have lost something while in one of our venues, our Lost and Found property from all our venues is stored at The Capital at the Box Office.


Experience It All Membership

How much is membership?
$49 for 12 months, $135 for 36 months.

Can I become a life member?
We do not offer a life membership

How long is the membership valid for?
12 or 36 months from date of purchase

What discount do I get on tickets?
Member discounts vary. Where there is a member price available you will be able to purchase up to 2 members priced tickets.

Will the discount apply to all performances offered by BV&E?
Members prices will be available on a range of selected performances, but not every performance will have a discount.

Can I buy a membership as a gift for a friend?
We love the gift of entertainment. We recommend purchasing a gift voucher that your friend can redeem for a membership or tickets if they are already a member.

Is a membership the same as a subscription I used to get?
Membership incorporates many of the benefits of the subscription but with greater reach across our calendar and more opportunity throughout your membership period.

I don’t have the internet. Can I still become a member? 
Yes – memberships can be purchased in person at the box office and over the phone.

How will I know what shows have a members' price?
Members will receive email updates when a performance is offering special discounts and early access to seating for our BV&E members.
