The Zonta Club of Bendigo’s annual International Women’s Day Dinner celebrates achievements of Central Victorian Women.

The theme for the 2019 International Women’s Day campaign is #BalanceforBetter. At this dinner, winners of the Zonta Women of Achievement Award, Young Women in Public Affairs Award, Heather Winderlich scholarship and Ann Horrocks STEM scholarship will be presented and their service and advocacy recognised.

Hear from Guest Speaker Dr Skye Kinder, recipient of the 2019 Victorian Young Australian of the Year. Skye is a junior doctor from central Victoria, and an advocate for rural communities Australia-wide. She has particular interests in policy, workforce planning, and service and process enhancement in regional and rural areas, as well as a growing interest in rural mental health. Skye continues to challenge the status quo to national audiences. In recognition of her contributions as a junior medical officer, Skye was honoured as Victoria’s Junior Doctor of the Year 2017.

An amazing catalogue of raffle and lucky door prizes will be drawn during the dinner with proceeds going to future scholarships.
"The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights." – Gloria Steinem
