Smoke and Mirrors is an Australian Play by Sue Murray set in a circus where everything is inside out and upside down and nothing is as it seems. This expressionistic piece takes audiences on a journey from once-upon-a-time, when a girl was a starry-eyed dreamer, to the harsh here-and-now, when she is in her twenties and even looking at her reflection is too painful. The creation of self-image is in the spotlight, as are some of the contributing pressures, from gossipy groups to glossy magazines.
This thought-provoking play tackles the sensitive issue of eating disorders in a theatrically dynamic way. Join us for a memorable evening with soul touching music, amazing dancing and jaw dropping circus performances while Alice makes her way through this heart touching story.
