Dorothy Gale, a farm girl from Kansas, is caught in a twister one day and blown to a faraway land known as ‘Oz’. When Dorothy’s house lands in Oz, crushing and killing the Wicked Witch of the East, the citizens of Munchkinland couldn’t be happier! Glinda, the Good Witch, rewards Dorothy by gifting her the dead witch’s magical ruby slippers. The dead witch’s sister, the Wicked Witch of the West, is less than pleased however, and makes it her mission to retrieve the ruby slippers and be rid of Dorothy. Dorothy asks Glinda how she can safely return to her hometown, and is told to follow the yellow-brick-road until she meets the Wizard of Oz who will help her return home safely.

Along her travels, Dorothy befriends a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a cowardly Lion, all of whom join her with their own requests for the Wizard. After a tiresome journey, it is revealed to the friends that the Wizard is not all that he seems.

The students of The Extension Ballet Studio bring this story to life with a magical production of classical ballet and storytelling!
