The Australian Ballet is delighted to be bringing a program of classical favourites and contemporary pieces to audiences across three states.

Celebrating over four decades of touring the country, be transported by the pure artistry of The Australian Ballet’s dancers as we showcase some of the most moving, enthralling and exciting moments in our repertoire.

Featuring Act III of Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty, The Australian Ballet’s Resident Choreographer, Stephanie Lake’s Circle Electric: Prologue, the Act II pas de deux from Anne Woolliams' Swan Lake and an Australian Ballet premiere, George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, The Australian Ballet On Tour will delight both those new to ballet and seasoned balletomanes.

Join us across three states, as we move you beyond words in this very special tour of traditional pieces and innovative new work.

The Australian Ballet On Tour is made possible thanks to the support of our Principal Partner, Telstra.

Join us for a special class taught onstage during The Australian Ballet On Tour.

Alongside The Australian Ballet On Tour and in select cities, join us for a special class taught onstage by the Artistic Staff of The Australian Ballet. This class will give students the chance to work to perfect their skills and learn new techniques (which our dancers use themselves) to improve alignment and movement.

These non-syllabus classes are suitable for ages 13–18 with minimum grade six ballet experience.

The Venue: Ulumbarra Theatre

Meaning ‘gather together’ or ‘meeting place’ in the language of the local Dja Dja Wurrung people, Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre rises majestically from what was once the Sandhurst Gaol.
