Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the ‘hip hip’ Hippo, Melman the Giraffe, and of course, those hilarious, plotting Penguins as they bound onto the Ulumbarra stage in the St. Joseph’s Quarry Hill’s, Senior Production, ‘Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR.’

This musical adventure of a life-time is based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, and follows your favourite ‘crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.  Filled with adventures galore and an upbeat score, the cast, involving every Grade 5 and 6 student at the school, will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!”.

The Venue: Ulumbarra Theatre

Meaning ‘gather together’ or ‘meeting place’ in the language of the local Dja Dja Wurrung people, Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre rises majestically from what was once the Sandhurst Gaol.
