Music adds to the excitement and emotion of movies, television and computer gaming. This June, the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra will bring some of the most loved and known music from the screen to Bendigo audiences.
Music from well known movies such as The King’s Speech, The Dark Knight, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Amadeus and Gallipolli. Television music from The Lone Ranger, and Rush, and music from well known computer games such as Assassins Creed, Super Mario Brothers, Fall Out 4 and Skyrim: Dragonborn will provide a program which will thrill the audience and bring back memories of their favorite movie, TV show or computer game.
This program will appeal to all the family and give the audience to see the live instruments not commonly featured in an orchestra such as guitar, drum kit, harp, and organ.
The orchestra will be conducted by the BSO music director, arranger, composer and music teacher, Cally Bartlett who has designed the program for 2019, and put together the works for this concert.
This concert will feature involvement from other Bendigo musicians and students singing and playing including music students.
The concert is on Sunday 23rd of June at 2.30pm at the Bendigo South East Auditorium, Ellis St Flora Hill. Tickets are available on GOTIX or at the door. Pre purchased tickets will allow reserve seating.
