Gathered by artist director Christine Manetta to honour & preserve the works of Nina Simone - one of the most extraordinary artists of the twentieth century & an icon of American music.
Nina’s unique blend of jazz, classical music and blues won her an audience, earned her critical acclaim and along with her remarkable talent she created a magnificent body of works, recording 50 Albums & 500 songs throughout a career spanning over forty-nine years.
Christine Manetta an accomplished contralto vocalist, sensitive to the political, activist art, beautifully portrays Nina Simone’s stories & songs with a passionate drive & gives them a spin of her own.
Joined by the International & Accomplished musicians of the Black Pearl Band - Highlighting songs such as: My Baby Just Cares for Me, I Put a Spell on You, Feelin Good & Sinnerman.
