RED is coming!
Award-winning theatre company Hobo Playhouse presents the powerful drama, RED by John Logan.
RED is a moving and compelling account of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, Mark Rothko.
Under the watchful gaze of his new assistant, Ken, and the threatening presence of a whole new generation of artists, Rothko battles his inner demons and his greatest challenge: to paint a series of large paintings for the lavish Four Seasons Restaurant in New York.
As Ken and Rothko paint, they challenge each other to ask big questions about art: what it takes to create it and what its role should be in the world.
Set in the 1950s, and based on a series of real events, RED takes a compelling look at the ever-changing relationship between an artist and his creations.
RED won 6 Tony Awards in 2010 including Best Play and Best Direction.
Running time is 90 minutes, no interval.
