The maggots are here!

Join 5-year-old Matilda, child of wondrous intelligence, sweetness and light, on her crusade against her cruel and sluggish parents, and The Trunchbull, the fearsome and child-loathing Headmistress of Crunchem Hall Primary School.

So clever is Matilda that by the age of four, she has read all the children's books in her local library. Her kindly schoolteacher, Miss Honey, thinks she’s a genius, but her parents are less than impressed and her Headmistress thinks that all children are revolting underdeveloped tadpoles.

Yet, against all the adult odds, Matilda finds a way to be free from her parents and for Miss Trunchbull to get her comeuppance.
Joining forces with Miss Honey, and by “sometimes being a bit naughty”, Matilda uses her powers for good to fight evil in sometimes hilarious, often touching and always-clever ways.

Matilda the Musical has enthralled audiences old and young all over the world, with this much-loved Roald Dahl children’s book taking on a new life on stage with the witty and irreverent lyrics and music of Tim Minchin.

Accompanied by live orchestral music, this is a show not to be missed.
