Celebrating 28 years, Flickerfest is Australia’s leading Academy® Award accredited and BAFTA-recognised Short Film Festival, the country’s largest Australian & International short film competition, screening the best of shorts from Australia and around the world, hand-picked from 2,700 entries.

Flickerfest screens for 10 days under the summer stars at Bondi Beach in January 2019, with selected highlights touring Australia on a 50+ venue national tour from Jan - May 2019.

Flickerfest remains a platform for celebrating the most entertaining and innovative short filmmaking from Australia and around the world.

Flickerfest returns to the Library Civic Gardens with the Best Of Australian Shorts, curated from the Flickerfest Australian & International programmes in competition at Bondi; & Short Laughs Comedy a hilarious off-kilter selection of funny shorts from across the world.

  1. This event is sold on behalf of the organisation responsible for presenting this event and is subject to the conditions applicable to that event and/or the venue where held.
  2. All sales are final. There is no refund or exchange on tickets except as provided for under the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice.
  3. The right is reserved to vary advertised programmes and to add, withdraw or substitute artists as necessary.
  4. The management reserves the right to refuse admission.
  5. Latecomers may not be admitted until there is a convenient break in the performance.
  6. The use of cameras or other recording devise and equipment constitutes a breach of copyright and is strictly forbidden.
  7. Patrons must ensure all electronic devices are switched off or to silent throughout the performance.
  8. Persons bearing a concession ticket must carry proof of entitlement.
  9. G.S.T. included where applicable.
