Stravinsky Pulcinella Suite
Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez
Mozart Symphony No.41 Jupiter

Experience popular works by Stravinsky, Mozart and Rodrigo under the masterful baton of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s Associate Conductor, Benjamin Northey, in this special evening at the Ulumbarra Theatre.

The peerless final C major symphony of Mozart is a pinnacle of western art. It complements the inventiveness and melodic nature of Stravinsky’s ballet Pulcinella, a real showcase for the MSO musicians.

Slava Grigoryan, one of the nation’s favourite soloists, takes centre stage for the most popular classical work ever written for guitar, Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.

Arrive early for a special pre-concert talk at 6pm ***please note the time of the pre-concert talk has changed from the time previously advertised in the Season Program.

1 hour and 45 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.

An Evening with the MSO is supported by the Robert Salzer Foundation. Support also comes from the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.

The Venue: Ulumbarra Theatre

Meaning ‘gather together’ or ‘meeting place’ in the language of the local Dja Dja Wurrung people, Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre rises majestically from what was once the Sandhurst Gaol.
